The Brief
The Catitat: A habitat that sits in between bare wall studs of a gutted out house for cats to live in and on. The levels of the Catitat are movable and the entire structure is easily portable.
After a flood, much attention is focused on human needs. Many houses are gutted to the studs, leaving no place for pets to find comfort, safety, and personal space. The Catitat offers a temporary solution by structurally attaching to open wall studs to offer a living space for cats as homes and lives are rebuilt around them. This product creates a new way for pets to live. It allows for the cat to be out of the way of work and to live with everything it needs off of the ground. When reconstruction is underway, there is no need to worry about cats' paws being torn up by tough concrete, or having them step on glass, nails, and splinters, or having to designate a significate area of the house to become a temporary home for the pets, and completely rendering that part of the house unable to be worked on. The Catitat works with a system of platform levels that the cat can move between with different elements on each level including a litter box, a play area, food and water bowls, and a bed. These platforms snap onto collars that can be quickly and easily be clamped onto wall studs to form a stable level for cats to live on.
